Suttons Bay is continuing their effort in becoming more diverse.
Every month, they are holding a meeting that highlights different cultures in the community.
On Wednesday, LIFT opened the Suttons Bay Community Friendship Center for people to come learn more about their Asian-American population.

Audrey Vang is 18 years-old, and has lived in Suttons Bay her whole life.
She is a Hmong-American, and her family owned a Chinese restaurant in the town for almost 15 years.
She says food is one of the biggest things that help introduce people to her culture.
“I just want people to ask what I am I think is really star unless they asked and they’re actually curious and ask what I am,” says Vang. “And this Diversity Dialogue is huge, I think, me being here tonight has definitely helped lift and the Hmong community.”
Next Wednesday, September 1st, they will be hosting a potluck along with their diversity dialogue conversation about their Latin-X community.
